Dolby Broadcast Consulting & Training

Our commitment to surround sound did not go unnoticed by Dolby Laboratories. Karl M. Slavik, founder of ARTECAST, was already responsible for the introduction of multi-channel sound (Dolby Digital and Dolby E) as project manager at ORF. ORF thus became the first public TV broadcaster in Europe to broadcast in Dolby Digital and offer its customers acoustic added value.

Karl M. Slavik and ARTECAST have now advised and trained more than 800 people on the subject of surround and immersive audio. On behalf of the ARD-ZDF Media Academy in Germany as well as ORF and ATV/Puls4 in Austria. In the Czech Republic (CZTV), Croatia (Nova TV), Lithuania (LRT), Singapore (Singapore Media Academy), Malaysian Television (MRT), broadcaster BeIn-Sports in Doha (Qatar), Slovenian Television (RTV SLO) and others.

We are delighted that Dolby Laboratories appointed Karl M. Slavik as an ‘Approved Dolby Broadcast Consultant’ and trainer back in 2006. We offer advice and support on all aspects of Dolby: from production and design to contribution with Dolby E, ED2 and delivery with Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus or Dolby Atmos. And the important metadata and sADM are not neglected either.
